The Big Reveal

At the beginning of June Rosie from Craftbotic and Katlyn from Dreamy Meadow came up with the idea of the Blog Angel. I signed up and was assigned a blog that I had never read before.

Half way through the month we were asked to write a post telling everyone how it was going, but we weren't allowed to share who our secret blogging friend was.

Well today is the last day of June, and today is the day, I get to spill the beans. I first want to say, that I am so extremely happy that I got his blog/ger. She is so sweet and this post might just be my new favorite.

I'd like you all to meet Mrs. White from Little Homemade Housewife. I've had a great time stalking her blog all month long. I didn't want to come across as a creeper, and I am terrible at keeping secrets but I did ask her to swap buttons with me. I am happy to have her on my blog. I hope you all find her as sweet and as awesome as I have.

Month 7

I can't believe you are 7 months old today. 

I know I say it every month, but 

where is the time going?

I've already started planning for your first birthday!

But it will be here before I know it, and that make me excited

and a little sad. 

You are so curious. Everything around you is your toy, or so you think. 

With Oliver I never had little toddler toys laying around

now I have to be so careful

if it's in your reach, 

I can be sure it will find its way to your mouth. 

You're crawling all over the house

you love to be where the action is, so if we're in the kitchen

you find your way out there too. 

You might stop to check out a shoe along the way.

You have four little teeth now, and your fifth is slowly working its way in. 

It's taking for.ev.er and it's making sleep miserable for everyone.

I caught you standing at the stairs the other day. 

Landon, please slow down. 

I'm not ready for my baby to walk yet.

A normal summer time happening

I call myself a "struggling" artist.  By struggling, I mean I love to create but I am shy so my art often takes a back seat.

I love photography, writing, knitting, cooking, and creating.  I find life in finding ways to create or recreate.

My blog was started over a year ago as I felt an itch to leave my 9-5 and pursue my artistic passions. 

  Most days my blog is centered around my faith and what I am learning.  Other days its focused on what I am creating.  My heart and goal for my blog is to share what I am learning, whether its in my creating or from my faith.  Often times, I am processing out loud and love to hear how others have learned from similar experiences. Blogging is a way for me to channel my creativity, an outlet for the things that I am passionate about.  

I love to learn. I love to find new ways to express myself.  One thing I want to see come out of being a part of blogging communities is having a fresh perspective on the world and the lives around me.

between the hours of 4pm & 6pm......

When I use to work in daycare, the end of the day was always the hardest. The kids were mentally and emotionally checked out and the teachers weren't far behind.

I'm not sure what it is about 4pm but it's like the bewitching hour where everything goes down hill. Kind of like when there is a full moon. Ever notice kids during a full moon. Nuts.

The children in my house are no different. Once 4pm rolls around the tantrums are long and epic. That is when I'd like to put myself in a time out. A Momma Time out if you will.

Between trying to make dinner and referee tired and hungry children, it seems like a never-ending battle. One I am usually too tired to fight.

Once 5pm comes around, I start fantasizing about bedtime. In my head it's always peaceful and calm. Everyone goes to bed easily and sleeps soundly. When in reality it is messy, ugly and full of chaos. One kid is crying because he's hungry - yet he ate 10 minutes prior. The other kid is crying because the toy duck is making noise and he doesn't know how to make it stop. Once it stops, he starts crying because he doesn't know how to make it go. Ryan and I get annoyed with each other because the kids are going nuts.

I know I can't be the only Momma who dreads the end of the day. Who checks the clock franticly only to discover minutes have passed.

Guest Post + A DIY

Hello, Mudpie friends!  My name is Amy from the Charming and you may remember me from this post.  Today I wanted to personally introduce myself, as well as give you an easy DIY.

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and though I am eager to discover a new culture and scenery, I love Georgia.  Right now, I am in nursing school somewhat full-time, but I have been doing photography for about five years now and I love it -- as I'm sure many of you also do!

I just recently got married to my best friend.  In fact, he's incredibly supportive of my part-time photography, blog designing, and blogging -- he loves that I do them all. 

In December we adopted a puppy, who was the biggest impulse buy ever for two cat-lovers.  That's right, we are not dog people.  We have two cats whom we absolutely love because they are low-key and are awesome cuddlers.  But who can resist the face of a puppy wanting to be rescued?

So, anyways.  That sums up my life right now.  I'm off for the summer, which I haven't done since I was in high school.  But, boy, I have been (and will continue to be) busy!  Stop by and say hello!  I love meeting fellow bloggers!

Blog Angels

A few weeks ago, Rosie from Craftbotics and Katlyn from Dreamy Meadow created Blog Angels. I immediately signed up. I loved the concept of helping someone secretively. It could be as simple as leaving a comment or two. Swapping blog buttons with them. Sharing their posts on twitter or Facebook. The whole point of it is, to keep it a secret for a whole month.

Well, we're at the half way point and I have to say I have loved it so far. Blogging is all about community. There are so many blogs. All these lovely ladies have stories to share, and deserve to be heard....er, read. I haven't done much in terms of helping my "secret blogging buddy" but I have gone back and read some older posts and gotten to know her better. I'm happy to say I have found a blog that I truly love and enjoy reading.

One thing I love about Wisconsin is that: it's very open, you'll see a lot of corn fields, farm, and it's just a nice place to be at. Plus we do have the LARGEST waterpark in the U.S.

One thing I hate is that the weather is never "for sure". For example: In March we went 2 weeks with the weather being horrible such as snow/rain. Then out of no where the weather changed and it was SUPER hot (85 degrees to be exact). So we like to say that mother nature is on her period constantly. Lol

Why do I blog?

I started to blog because I wanted a way to keep track of my babies milestone. But now I do it because I like to express my feelings on days that are good or bad. Plus I get to meet new friends!
